CrossOver for Gnu/Linux
|
Launched on April 13, 2002 is a program that creates a layer on Gnu/Linux to run Windows programs like Wine with the difference that CrossOver is proprietary.
Created by the company behind wine, Codeweavers, the first time I remember was when the CEO of Lindows paid codeweavers a million dollars to run MS Office in Lindows, later they created a version for the other Gnu/Linux distributions.
Since then they periodically release versions.
