PlayOnLinux for Wine
|
PlayOnLinux is a program that allows us to easily install and use numerous games and programs designed to run exclusively on Microsoft® Windows®.
In fact, even today, few video games are compatible with GNU/Linux, which can be a brake to take the leap. PlayOnLinux provides an accessible and effective solution to this problem, free of charge and always respecting free programs.
PlayOnLinux is in charge of configuring Wine for the proper execution of videogames, through the use of scripts that modify Wine’s behavior. These scripts can be created by users and their file extension is «.pol».
Launch date was 2007. The PlayOnlinux code is at https://github.com/PlayOnLinux/POL-POM-4
